Case Study

A leading hospital with multiple branches was struggling with their accounts. Their financial team was not happy with the accounting capability of their hospital management system and the management was not able to retrieve real time financial reports. These problems prevented the hospital management from taking crucial decisions.

To fix the accounting problem, they have decided to implement SAP B1, but they have already invested and customized their HMS to suit their daily operations. It will be a complex and expensive to implement HMS capability in SAP B1. Therefore, they decided to integrate their HMS with SAP B1 using WBC Transformer.

We met the hospital IT team, HMS development team and sorted out a solution for this problem. During the meeting, we decided the file formats, message formats and sequences to be used. It was decided to use CSV file format for messages. We integrated twenty one separate sequences. We worked out on the information that needs to be passed for every sequence and the message formats.

WBC Transformer configured to use the CSV files, the message formats. We used our SAP B1 DI API connector to pass information to SAP B1 from HMS. In turn, our HANA connector get information from SAP B1 and pass it to HMS.

Once all configurations were done, we started the engine and our engine was sending thousands of messages every hour. Our dashboard provide an overview for the process and can helped us in identifying issues.

With WBC Transformer, the hospital management reduced its investment for development. We helped them to save cost by minimizing customization in SAP B1. They continued their daily operations using HMS without any interruption. Since all information are synchronized with SAP B1, management and financial team was able to get complete and up to date financial reports.
